History of Supercharger
USA
Since 1997, Supercharger USA located in Southern California, has been known and recognized for its custom blower repair facility. Supercharger USA has gained the confidence of racers and street rodders throughout the United States and beyond. Some of today's elite Pleasure Boats, Monster Trucks and street cars are equipped with Supercharger USA's highest quality blowers.
Supercharger USA's owner, Tim Posik, understands speed and performance. He understands the needs, demands, and dreams of all performance enthusiasts. His expertise is building the most powerful combinations available. With quality service and advanced technology to keep your love for blower motors a lasting one, it is no wonder why his company is one of the industry's new leaders in advanced supercharger tehcnology.
Tim jumped into the supercharger industry back in the 1980's and has been in the industry ever since. In nearly a 2 decade career with Blower Drive Service (BDS), Tim climbed to the highest position available as Lead Blower Designer and also the company's Operations Director for many years.
During the early 1990's BDS signed a sponsorship with a Top Fuel racing team owned by an Australian woman. The goal was to boost their technology and name by having a rolling test car. The Top Fuel Funny Car was brought to the U.S. and modified to the N.H.R.A. rulebook specs and topped off with a newly designed blower from BDS. Although much love and effort was invested, the car ran slow and was not competitive. Soon after the cars humble beginnings, a talented tuner, Tom Anderson, was added to the race team, followed by Tim Posik who was able to take over the blower's design for BDS.
Tim and his friend Charles "Chuck" Kelley designed a new concept blower called the Procharger to help aide the survival of the desperate Top Fuel team that was dropping in points. The new and odd looking blue color blower was delivered by Tim to a test track in Gainesville, Florida where it was tested on the BDS car and became the blower that took the Top Fuel team to the #2 spot in the NHRA. Teams like Kenny Bernstein's "Budweiser King", Pat Austin, Ron Capps with Tom Anderson tuning, the Jim Oddy owned Summit Racing Pro Mod car and other professional teams soon followed their own testing of this new blower that seemed to be grown from a large dose of steroids. The blower was one of a few must have blowers for teams and sportsman racers for several years.
Tim soon left BDS at the top of his career to join forces with his best friend who left the company previously. Tim's friend, a talented blower builder himself and also friend, Chuck Kelly, all parting from the company, left Tim without the chemistry needed for success. With an eye for the future, Tim built Supercharger USA and brought a talented team back together. Creative ideas and engineering has always been Tim's best attribute.
Companies such as Supercharger USA and Blower Drive Service have evolved into what they are today with the help of Tim's advanced blower designs and creativity.
Presidents Message
I believe that leadership best occurs in the context of change - not as a pretext for change. That is why our company's leaders are working all the time to better understand and develop new technology with a scientific approach.
